BSRG Photo Archive

Extensional fault and the sedimentary fill of a half graben. The footwall block of the fault is Jurassic volcanics whilst the hanging wall is comprised of shallow marine beach, fan delta and shoreface deposits. Cliff in foreground is 70 m high. Mejillones Peninsula, Northern Chile.
